A back-to-school immunization event is happening this morning (August 9).
The Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s Community Health Center is helping students get immunizations that are required by the Morongo Unified School District, including shots for tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and varicella, also known as chickenpox.
This event has been moved to the Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s pediatrics clinic, located at 58375 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley.
This immunization event starts today at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.
Appointments are required, and can be made at 760-365-9305, though walk-ins will be accommodated as space allows.
