A Murrieta man was arrested in Landers early Friday morning, after drugs and a weapon were found in his vehicle. About 1:30 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle near Reche Road and Border Avenue. Inside the vehicle was Vieng Cam, 56. Cam is a convicted felon, and during a search of the vehicle, deputies found narcotics and a loaded firearm. Vieng Cam was arrested for investigation of being in possession of a controlled substance while armed, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
