A Morongo Valley man was arrested Wednesday accused of being a felon in possession of an improvised firearm. According to Sheriff’s reports, a Deputy conducted a probation compliance check on Richard Corsaro, 65, at his home in the 11000 block of Coronado Drive in Morongo Valley on Wednesday. During the check, Corsado was found to be in possession of ammunition and an improvised firearm known as a “zip gun.” As a convicted felon, Corsaro is forbidden from owning either the ammunition or the improvised firearm. Richard Corsaro was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm, felony forgery, and on a felony no-bail warrant and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $35,000.
