Morongo Valley man arrested for suspected domestic violence

A man with an active warrant for domestic violence was arrested on suspicion of beating a woman into unconsciousness in Morongo Valley.
On Saturday (November 22), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 9600 block of Lanning Lane in Morongo Valley. They say that a female victim reported an incident of domestic violence. She told deputies that Dakota Martin, 32, were arguing, and the argument escalated into violence. She told deputies that Martin picked her up and threw her down several times until she was unconscious. The victim said she called deputies when she woke up. The victim declined further medical treatment.
Later that day, deputies returned to the home and found Martin. They took him into custody, and determined that he had an additional warrant for felony domestic violence.
Dakota Martin was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and an active warrant. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $450,000 bail.
