Morongo Valley man arrested for alleged possession of photos of children being sexually abused

A man in Morongo Valley was arrested for investigation into possession of photos of children being sexually abused. 

On Tuesday (February 17), the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Detail made an arrest in Morongo Valley. The Detail was investigating a report made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the upload of child sexual abuse material. Their investigation led them to the 10600 block of Ryan Street in Morongo Valley, where they arrested Scot Askew, 72. 

Scot Askew was arrested for investigation into charges related to child pornography. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and has since been released on bail.
