A convicted felon was arrested Monday after he was found with a gun and ammunition. About 9 a.m., deputies went to a home in the 11200 block of Mescalero Avenue in Morongo Valley. There they found Ray Mejia, 29, along with a firearm and ammunition. Ray Mejia was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
