‘Monsters Inc.’ plays at Yucca Valley Community Center tonight (10/3)

Town of Yucca Valley Recreation Presents Five Weeks of Movies in the Courtyard this Fall, and this week they are playing “Monsters Inc.” (October 3).

Grab a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a movie under the stars as the Town of Yucca Valley Recreation Department hosts five Friday night films for the community from late September through October. The family friendly movies will be shown in the courtyard of the Yucca Valley Community Center, located at 57090 29 Palms Hwy and will move inside the Yucca Room if the weather does not cooperate. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., movie begins at 6:30 p.m.

In Monsters, Inc., best friends Mike and Sulley work at a factory that powers the monster world by collecting screams from human children. Their world turns upside down when a little girl accidentally enters their realm, forcing them to question everything they thought they knew about humans. As they try to return her home, they uncover a conspiracy and discover that laughter might be more powerful than fear.

Registration is now open online at www.yucca-valley.org or at the Community Center, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., $2 per person includes admission and a popcorn. Space is limited, please register in advance.
