Miss Yucca Valley pageant now accepting applications

The Miss Yucca Valley pageant includes a significant college scholarship along with an opportunity to be involved in a number of community events happening across the Town.

The pageant is a participation and speech contest where each contestant interviews a prominent business woman in the hi-desert and delivers a presentation about that person as part of the pageant.

The current Miss Yucca Valley, Sophia Abbott, told Z107.7’s Hilary Sloane that the experience challenged her in unexpected ways.

“This opportunity with Miss Yucca really gave me the chance to become the full person I am. It’s helped me grow as a public speaker. It’s made me feel more like a woman. I feel like I’ve grown not only in maturity, but also in my personality.”

Applications are now being from high school juniors. The pageant will take place in February 2027.
