Man arrested for suspected sword attack arrested again at Joshua Tree hospital

A man recently arrested for investigation for assault was arrested again at a local hospital on suspicion of attacking Sheriff’s deputies.
On Friday, October 2, at around 7:40 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree. Deputies say that Anthony Gill, 28, assaulted a security guard at the hospital. Deputies responded, and while questioning Gill, they say he struck two deputies in the leg. Gill was taken into custody at the hospital.
No serious injuries were reported.
Gill was arrested for investigation into assault with a sword just five days prior, on September 28. No felony charges were ultimately filed, and Gill was released from jail on September 30.
Anthony Gill was arrested on suspicion of battery and resisting arrest and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $30,000 bail.
