Man arrested for investigation into attempted burglary after allegedly tampering with Yucca Valley home’s window

A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary after tampering with the window of a Yucca Valley home.

On Tuesday (December 23), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man looking into windows in the 57000 block of Yucca Trail in Yucca Valley. The suspect, identified as Mark Villegas, 42, was reported for suspicious behavior by neighbors several times throughout the day. Deputies say he fled the scene twice and on his third return to the home he was removing a screen on a window. Deputies took Villegas into custody at the scene.

Mark Villegas was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $80,000 bail.
