Man allegedly fires gun at Landers home, arrested shortly after

A man was arrested for allegedly shooting at a home in Landers.

On November 1 at around 8:00 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired into a home in the 55000 block of New Dixie Mine Road in Landers. Deputies contacted John Evans, 64 and took him into custody. The Sheriff’s Department did not provide information about damage to the home or details about the shooting.

John Evans was arrested on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $70,000 bail.
