MAN ACCUSED OF SHOOTING AT NEIGHBOR IN JOSHUA TREE

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Saturday, accused of shooting at his neighbor with a shotgun. About 8:30 p.m., Deputy Ricardo Rodriguez was called to a home in the 64800 block of 3rd Street South in Joshua Tree for a call of shots fired and found Edwin Acosta, 20, outside in his yard. Ricardo served a search warrant on the home and seized two firearms. Edwin Acosta was arrested for investigation of negligent discharge of a firearm and possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
