Lou Harrison House hosting Krishna Bhatt tonight (8/30), open house on Sunday (8/31)

The Lou Harrison House is welcoming world-renowned sitarist Krishna Bhatt to their stage tonight (8/30)

He will be joining forces with visionary guitarist Gyan Riley who has recently returned from a five-month tour with Paul Simon. The Harrison House calls their music a genre-defying artistry that flows effortlessly between classical, jazz, folk, and avant-garde. Together, they chart new musical landscapes through shimmering ragas, intricate harmonies, and spontaneous improvisations flowing from meditative stillness to joyful rhythmic interplay.

The show starts tonight at 8:00PM, and tickets are being sold on a sliding scale from 25 to 50 dollars:

If you aren’t familiar with the Harrison House, then you’ll want to show up to their Open House and Seed Exchange this Sunday, August 31st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The Harrison House says that their gardens have been flourishing over the summer and they want you to come out and sample a fresh mint moringa iced tea and rout their home scale drylands permaculture demonstration site. They are also holding a seed-swap for winter planting.

The Lou Harrison House is located at 6836 Mount Lassen Avenue in Joshua Tree. You can learn more at louharrisonhouse.org.
