Sunday night is Italian night at the Joshua Tree Local Food Program’s vegetarian dinner and produce giveaway. A collaboration with the Joshua Tree Community United Methodist Church, vegetarian Italian dishes, salads, and desserts will be served starting at 5 p.m. The goal of this event is to provide fresh food and vegetables to supplement existing food assistance programs and to education people about cooking with fresh ingredients. There is no charge, but donations are welcome. This is a “no waste” event. Please bring your own dishes and utensils and a bag to take home vegetables.
