LANDERS MAN LEADS DEPUTIES ON PURSUIT IN YUCCA VALLEY

A Landers man was arrested Friday, following a pursuit through residential neighborhoods in Yucca Valley. About 1:30 p.m., deputies attempted a traffic stop at Warren Vista Avenue and Yucca Trail for a vehicle code violation on a vehicle driven by Ronald Moore, 48. Moore failed to stop, and led deputies on a pursuit through residential neighborhoods until he pulled into a residential driveway in the 7400 block of Alaba Avenue. Moore then fled on foot from the vehicle, jumping over fences and through yards. Deputies eventually caught up to Moore and apprehended him. Moore was found to be a convicted felon in Nevada and Arizona. Deputies found a rifle in Moore’s vehicle and rifle ammunition on Moore’ person. Ronald Moore was arrested for investigation of felony evading and being a felon in possesion of a firearm, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
