KICK-OFF FOR NEW FRINGE FEST SATURDAY, PERFORMERS SOUGHT

What is “Fringe” Theatre? It is innovative, boundary-pushing theatre and performance art. The mission of “Hi-Def Fringe”, a Project Sheba program, is to bring original, non-traditional, gritty, edgy, thought-provoking performance art to the Hi-Desert. A Kick-off Event is planned for Saturday, May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ink and Steel located at 61657 29 Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. The event will feature live music by “Hunter and the Wick’d”, spoken word performances and an improv session. Stay after for the Q and A to answer all your questions about what Fringe is, how to become a sponsor or a donor, and how to apply to perform in the Fringe Festival slated for August 24 through the 26 at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center.
