JOSHUA TREE MAN KILLED IN A LA QUINTA MURDER

A Joshua Tree man was killed Friday in a La Quinta shooting; a 17-year-old has been arrested for investigation of his murder. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, January 30, at 6:38 pm, officers from the La Quinta Police Department responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the City of La Quinta. They arrived to find Ryan Thomas Sniffin, 20, of Joshua Tree suffering from gunshot injuries. Ryan Sniffin was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries. Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit and the Thermal Station identified the suspect as a 17-year-old male juvenile from La Quinta and later located him during a traffic stop in La Quinta Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall in Temecula for murder.
