A Joshua Tree man was arrested after thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise were found at his home. Tuesday (January14) Deputies responded to Tractor Supply in Yucca Valley regarding stolen cash deposits totaling thousands of dollars from the business. The investigation led to, deputies and detectives executing a search warrant at the home of Brett Southern, 55, in the 6000 block of Division Street in Joshua Tree. Deputies detained Brett Southern in connection to the stolen bank deposits. The stolen deposit bags and Tractor Supply merchandise were recovered during the search warrant. Stolen property was returned to Tractor Supply. Brett Southern was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for investigation of Felony Grand Theft.
