SHERIFF INVESTIGATING A HOME INVASION ROBBERY IN YUCCA VALLEY

Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery in Yucca Valley Tuesday. A 59-year-old woman called 911 about 3:40 p.m. to say that an unknown man, who was wearing a ski mask, forced his way through the back door into her home in the 4600 block of Yucca Mesa Road. The suspect forced the victim into her bedroom and stole her purse. He then fled the scene; deputies were not able to locate him during an area check of the neighborhood. During the robbery, the woman received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
