The newest exhibition for Gallery 62 Art Gallery in downtown Joshua Tree will have an opening reception Saturday, February 9, during the Joshua Tree Art Crawl. The show, entitled “Surfaces,” explores the many layered textures of meaning and technique in art. The show features paintings and works of art made from wood, paper, metal, and more. The reception is set for Saturday, February 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Fridays from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. The Beatnik Lounge in downtown Joshua Tree will also be open during the Art Crawl. The reception for its new show, “With Wings,” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. And Karin Skiba will have a solo show, called “Wanderland,” at the Joshua Tree Art Gallery. An artist’s reception will be held during the Art Crawl from 6 to 8 p.m. JTAG is located in downtown Joshua Tree. The show will be on display through March 2.
