Investigation into unresponsive person in vehicle leads to arrest of felon on suspicion of possessing a gun

During a vehicle check for an unresponsive person, a convicted felon was allegedly found with a firearm.

Monday morning (September 14) at around 7:50 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Pueblo Trail and Olympic Road in Joshua Tree. Deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area with an unresponsive person inside. They say they contacted the sole occupant of the vehicle, Dustin Loser, 36. Loser was found to be a convicted felon, and deputies say they found him to be in possession of a firearm and controlled substances. Loser was taken into custody.

Dustin Loser was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and controlled substances. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $30,000 bail.
