HOMESTEAD VALLEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY

The Homestead Valley Community Council will discuss ongoing issues of unsafe travel along Highway 247 at its meeting on Monday, July 15. A representative from the California Highway Patrol will attend the meeting to discuss the topic. Attendees will also receive an update on the Fire Protection Zone 5 (FP-5) County fire tax. Representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, County Fire, and CalFire will also attend meeting. The Homestead Valley Community Council is for residents of; or property owners; in Johnson Valley, Flamingo Heights, Landers, or Yucca Mesa. A recent scheduling conflict will delay the meeting’s usual start time to 4 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Flamingo Heights Community Center, 55977 Perris Road.
