HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

The Twentynine Palms High School Lady Wildcats traveled to take on Yucca Valley High School Tuesday evening, resulting in a 4-0 loss for the varsity team. Coach Richard Sanchez said goalkeepers sophomore Alexis Soster and junior Alex Anaya contributed 15 saves for the ’Cats. Defenders senior Maggie O’Brien and junior Emma Yeager worked hard on all evening against speedy forwards from the opposition. 
 
In high school sports, today, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ and girls’ basketball and soccer teams will play Rancho Mirage High School. The boys will play at home, the girls will travel away to Rancho Mirage. Both soccer games will start at 5 and both basketball games at 6.
 
The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ soccer and basketball teams will compete against Coachella Valley High School. The boys’ soccer game will be played in Thermal starting at 5 p.m. All other games will be played at home in Twentynine Palms. The girls’ soccer match, honoring their seniors, starts at 5, girls’ basketball at 6, and boys’ basketball at 7:30 p.m.
 
And the Joshua Springs Christian School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel away to Bermuda Dunes to play Desert Christian Academy. The girls start at 5, boys at 6:30.
