HI-DESERT WATER SELECTS NEW OFFICERS, APPROVES $678,000 LANDSCAPE PLAN

At last night’s meeting of the Board of Directors for the Hi-Desert Water District, the directors approved a landscape implementation plan submitted by RHA Landscape Architects Planners in an amount not to exceed $678,000 for the new wastewater reclamation facility.

Next, directors received a cost saving report on the partial redesign of the Barron, Paxton, and Kickapoo pump stations that saved the district $2.3 million. The directors allotted $390,000 for the redesign project, spent $50,000 and used district employees with the skills to complete the work and saved the $2.3 million.

Finally, the directors received a report on the running total of $4.2 million  in change orders related to the Wastewater Treatment Facility Project.
