The Hi-Desert Water District will hold their board meeting tonight at 5 p.m. Reporter Joshua King has details on the meeting’s agenda…
Tonight’s Hi-Desert Water District meeting will focus primarily on filling the vacant position left by former Director Sarann Graham after her resignation last month, as well as the upcoming vacancy that will be left by General Manager Ed Musik after he retires from the position early next year. The board will first vote to select an outside agency who will assist them with the screening and selection process for the General Manager role, and will then vote on whether to hold an election for the vacant Director position, or to appoint someone to fill the role instead. Finally, the meeting will conclude with a discussion to determine if the District will take the requested action to oppose, unless amended the bill AB 3030, which is a bill concerned with land and ocean conservation goals.
In an effort to protect public health and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the public may view this meeting online as there will be no public location for attending in person.
