Local food pantries and distribution services can now apply for funding assistance from the Morongo Basin Healthcare District. Reporter Cassidy Zimarik has the invitation.
In their mission to improve the health and wellness of its residents, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s Board of Directors has approved spending up to $500,000 for local hunger relief during these challenging times due to COVID-19. The healthcare District is inviting local Morongo Basin food pantries and other food distribution agencies to apply for funding assistance of up to $5,000. Active, 501-c-3 food distribution organizations may apply for funding assistance by completing an application form available on the district’s website, www.MBHDistrict.org.
