FREE SURPLUS FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN WONDER VALLEY AND TWENTYNINE PALMS TOMORROW

USDA food distribution will begin at 9 a.m. and ends at noon tomorrow, January 14, at the Wonder Valley Community Center. Low-income Wonder Valley residents self-certify on site. No ID or other documentation is required. For more information, call Teresa Sitz at 760-367-9880.

The Twentynine Palms food pantry, known as Feed 29, will distribute free surplus food on Tuesday, from 9 to 11. To receive food, participants must be a resident of Twentynine Palms, Wonder Valley, or the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, and may pick up food for another household with a note. Each household is given the same amount of food no matter how many people live there. No additional paperwork or identification is required. Participants are encouraged to bring two paper bags or boxes to carry the food. For more information call 760-268-1787.
