FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN 4 LOCATIONS TODAY, WONDER VALLEY TOMORROW

The Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino will distribute surplus food to low-income residents of the Morongo Basin at four locations today (Monday, January 11). The distribution is a week early due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday next week. The locations and times are:

  • Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 59077 Yucca Trail in Yucca Valley, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.;
  • Belfield Hall, 58380 Reche Road in Landers, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.;
  • 29 Palms Community Pantry, 6450 Stardune Avenue, 10 a.m. to noon;
  • and the Joshua Tree Community Center, 6171 Sunburst Avenue, 10 a.m. to noon.

A distribution of free food will be held in Wonder Valley a week earlier than usual due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The food give-away, for Wonder Valley residents only, is set for 10 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday January 12 until the food is gone, at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road. Wonder Valley residents may pick up one bag of groceries for a neighbor if a signed pick-up form is presented. Masks are required, and residents must stay in their vehicles.
