Free fireworks, concerts, and events in the Morongo Basin for July 4th

Thursday, July 4th is Independence Day here in the Morongo Basin, and despite the hot weather, there’s a number of free events to help celebrate the birthday of the United States.

As a quick reminder, all fireworks are not only illegal throughout our area, but can cause a major safety risk owing to the triple-digit temperatures and dry conditions throughout the hi-desert. Even one illegal firework can spark a wildfire that can devastate thousands of your neighbors.

Fireworks in Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley on 7/4

You can see the Tortoise Rock fireworks at another family friendly event at Knott’s Sky Park hosted by the City of Twentynine Palms. Also starting at 6 p.m., expect games, waterslides, and obstacle course, food, photo booths, face-painting and fun. Z107.7’s Cody Joseph will be at the event, broadcasting live.

And in Yucca Valley, the town will hold a Fireworks Spectacular event at Brehm Park with patriotic-themed decorations and giveaways, concert, face painting by Miss Yucca Valley and Court, food vendors and extended event hours allowing for early entry at 6 p.m. The event kicks off the town’s summer concert series with live music performed by The Dreamboats, a 50’s and 60’s Pop & Rock band that creates a great concert experience for all ages. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m , and admission is free. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Z107.7 will be playing music synchronized with both fireworks shows beginning at 9 p.m., so whether you’re at the casino, parks, or at home, tune your radio to our station or stream live from Z107.7 to get the full audio visual experience.
