According to County Fire Battalion Chief Donnie Viloria, the SUV crashed on Old Woman Springs Road, just north of Handley Road in the Flamingo Heights area of Yucca Valley, about 12:10 a.m. Firefighters from Yucca Valley and Yucca Mesa had to extricate at least one patient from the SUV, which landed on its side. A woman, identified only as being in her 60s, was taken to Yucca Valley airport and then flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The other three patients, including an infant, were taken by ambulance to Hi-Desert Medical Center.
