Flock Community Roundtable discussion tonight (7/9)
A community roundtable discussion about Flock Safety cameras will be held this Thursday (July 9) from 4:30 to 6:30 at the Luckie Park Activity Center in Twentynine Palms. The discussion is being held by Twentynine Palms Mayor Pro Tem Octavious Scott and is open to everyone in the Morongo Basin.
Representatives from Flock Safety and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office will be in attendance to answer questions, explain how the technology is used, and participate in an open discussion with community members.
In a press release issued by Mayor Pro Tem Scott, he says “As the City Council prepares to consider the future of the Flock Safety program, it’s important that residents have the opportunity to hear directly from those who operate and support the system, ask questions, and share their perspectives.”
It goes on to say that the roundtable is intended to encourage respectful dialogue and provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the technology before any future City Council consideration of the Flock Safety contract. No decisions will be made during the roundtable, and no action will be taken on the program at the event.
