Fireworks suspected in Yucca Valley brushfire that sent one juvenile to the hospital

A small fireworks related fire in Yucca Valley sent one juvenile to the hospital.

On Monday morning (August 4) just before 10:00 a.m., San Bernardino County Fire responded to a report of a fire on Borrego Trail near Pueblo Trail in Yucca Valley. Witnesses reported hearing “explosions” near the scene.

When a crew from San Bernardino County Fire arrived, they said that bystanders had already extinguished what they called a large bush that had been burning. County Fire says that they transported a juvenile to a local hospital for treatment for injuries.

San Bernardino County Fire says that the fire was caused by fireworks.
