If you’re interested in serving on a council or board for any government agency, the period to file your paperwork opens Monday, July 16. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information about running in the upcoming election…
Interested in serving your community as a council member for Twentynine Palms or Yucca Valley? Or on your local water district board of directors, school and college boards, or healthcare district? Seats for all these agencies will be up for election during the November 6 general election, and the nomination period for all those who are interested in “pulling” election papers begins Monday, July 16, and closes Friday, August 10.
New this year is that Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, and the school district have been divided into districts, so residents will vote for only one candidate who lives in their district instead of two or three at-large candidates. For more information about how to “pull” nomination papers, contact your city, town, or board clerk.
