FELON FOUND WITH A LOADED HAND GUN AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

A traffic stop in Twentynine Palms Friday for not wearing a seatbelt led to an arrest for possession of a loaded gun. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped the vehicle near Bonita and Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms about 2:30 p.m. Inside was Adam Weaver, 39, who is a convicted felon. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found a loaded 9mm handgun in the glove box. Adam Weaver was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
