FAILURE TO YIELD RESULTS IN A PURSUIT AND AN ARREST FOR 4 FELONIES

A failure to yield resulted in a pursuit and an arrest for four felonies. According to a Sheriff’s Press release, Wednesday (4/27), at about 11:30 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white Dodge Dakota for vehicle code violations near Buena Vista Dr. and Melody Ln. in Yucca Valley. The vehicle failed to yield and lead Deputies on a 3.15-mile pursuit, with the vehicle driving with no regard for public safety committing multiple vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Matthew Todd Bordeau, 38.  During the pursuit, Bordeau threw a loaded revolver out of the vehicle, which was later recovered by Deputies. Todd Bordeau was arrested and booked at Morongo Jail investigation of Felony Evading, and three felonies for being a felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a loaded firearm in the vehicle. .
