Flying Doctors return this weekend to provide free dental and vision services (3/7 – 3/8)

The Flying Doctors are returning to the Morongo Basin this Saturday (March 7) and Sunday (March 8) to provide free dental and vision services to adults and children. Each year the Los Medicos Voladores, also known as the flying doctors, visit our community for a two-day event in which they provide dental, vision, hearing screenings, sports physicals, and other medical services at no cost.
The event is sponsored by the Morongo Unified School District and their Career Technical Education Program, at the Yucca Valley High School gymnasium.
Free dental services and vision screenings will be provided each day. Appointments are not required; patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first 150 adults and children in line each day will be eligible to receive free dental procedures including teeth cleaning, fillings, and extractions. Free vision services will be offered to the first 50 people in line each day. Free prescription glasses will be provided as well.
Area nonprofits will be on-hand offering program and service information. The Lifestream Blood Mobile will be on-site taking blood donations. The event this year will also include FREE sports physicals and free haircuts offered by Milan Institute and West Coast Master Cut Studio.
The event is this Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The line begins forming each day at 6:00 a.m. on Sage Avenue in front of Yucca Valley High School. Patients will not be allowed to start lining up before 6:00 a.m. each day. No unattended children are allowed.
Basin Transit is providing free rides to the event on both days, as well. Take the Route 1 bus on March 7 and 8 and get off at the Highway 62 and Sage stop.
