Two Ospreys land on the parade field at Twentynine Palms Marine Base; armed Marines exit and secure the area. Team Leader Corporal Clinton Hammock explains the scenario in this exercise. “We are told the embassy was attacked and we have to evacuate civilians.” Captain Eric Sharpe says it takes a lot of planning and coordination to pull off this training. “The students plan the entire evolution and put together all the details needed to execute this event and get role players out her so the role players can replicate this realistic environment.” Training exercises like this keep Marines ready for the real thing.
