YUCCA VALLEY 3-CAR CRASH LEADS TO ARREST FOR DUI HEROIN

A 41-year-old man suspected of driving under the influence was arrested Tuesday morning after he crashed into two other cars in Yucca Valley. About 10:45 a.m., Alfredo Medina of Cherry Valley was driving eastbound on Highway 62 when he entered westbound lanes of traffic at Mohawk Trail and collided with two vehicles. There were no injuries to any of the occupants of the other cars. Deputies determined that Medina was driving under the influence of heroin. Alfredo Medina was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of drugs/heroin and taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center for a pre-jail check. He was then booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
