DRUGS AND WEAPONS LEAD TO TWO ARRESTS IN JOSHUA TREE

Two Joshua Tree residents were arrested Wednesday after a search warrant found a large amount of drugs and a loaded weapon in their home. According to a Sheriff’s report, the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team served the search warrant on a home in the 3200 block of Rockwood Road in Joshua Tree about 2:30 p.m. During the search, deputies found a loaded gun, a large amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other illegal weapons. Jesse Jimenez, 36, and Kellye Rumney, also 36, were also at home. Jesse Jimenez was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale and for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000. Kellye Rumney had two small children living in the home, and she was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $100,000.
