DRIVE-THROUGH FOOD DISTRIBUTION TOMORROW IN TWENTYNINE PALMS AND YUCCA VALLEY

The Morongo Basin Healthcare District recently launched the Feeding Morongo Basin Project to improve the health and wellness of Morongo Basin residents. The district has been giving away boxes of food that typically are distributed to those in need within a few hours. Reporter Cassidy Zimarik has the details on the district’s food distribution event tomorrow…

The Morongo Basin Healthcare District will host a no-contact-drive-through food distribution event as part of its Feeding Morongo Basin Project. On Saturday, August 15, residents can drive up to the distribution, open the trunk and drive away. The food boxes weigh about 30 pounds and contain non-perishable food items. Distribution will be limited to one box per vehicle while supplies last.

The Morongo Basin Healthcare District will have two drive through locations at their community health centers in Yucca Valley and in Twentynine Palms. Both distributions are on Saturday, August 15, beginning at 7 a.m. until supplies are gone.
