DOWNED POWER LINES KNOCK OUT COUNTY TV SIGNAL

Morongo Basin residents who rely on the county for their television signal will be without TV for the foreseeable future. According to a county spokesman, the lightning storms over the weekend knocked out a power line, and the generator that was providing back-up power ran out of fuel. He told Z107.7. News that the company that does the repairs is currently at Camp Pendleton and the caterpillar crew comes from Calfire. He said workers are at the scene evaluating how bad the damage is to the power lines and said he couldn’t give an estimate of when power—and TV service—would be restored.
