An argument over not doing the dishes escalated into accusations of infidelity and led to the arrest of a Twentynine Palms man Monday night. Deputies were called to the 6600 block of Mesquite Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 10:30 p.m. for a domestic dispute. The woman told deputies that Robert Weaver, 45, threatened to bash her head with the kitchen table. During a search of the property, the deputy found a gun that Weaver had hidden in the back yard. Weaver is a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning firearms and ammunition. Robert Weaver was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and released a few hours later on $50,000 bail.
