Dan Navarro, Remo Packer, Karen Gladis on “Up Close Show” this Friday (4/30)

In November 2025, Twentynine Palms was awarded a Levitt Music Series Grant, creating a series of free outdoor family-friendly live music concerts at Freedom Plaza through 2028.

This Friday will be the last of the first series of concerts, the next series starts this fall. On the Z107.7 “Up Close” show this Friday (5/1) host Gary Daigneault will talk with the featured artists.

Dan Navarro has a 40-year career as a songwriter, artist, singer and voice actor, with 17 albums, thousands of concerts, films, television, video games, commercials, and writing hits. Remo Packer is an accomplished musician known for his unique blend of genres.

The evening will start with a dance experience led by local dance teacher and Choreographer Karen Gladis. Navarro, Packer, and Gladis will talk about their specialties and the concert on the Z107.7 “Up Close” show, live Friday at 10:00am on Z107.7 FM and podcast at z1077fm.com.  

Gary Daigneault

Gary Daigneault has been a broadcast journalist for 45 years with awards and citations from the Associated Press, National Association of Broadcasters, Radio-Television News Association, Radio Inc. Magazine, five “Golden Mic” and four “Mark Twain” awards. In 2010 he was inducted into the Associated Press Hall of Fame. Daigneault taught Broadcasting for 27 years. He is President of Theatre 29, six term Past-President of Rotary Clubs, Past-President of Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree Chambers of Commerce and chaired the Joshua Tree National Park Commission. Gary and wife Cindy live in Twentynine Palms since 1979. They have two children and five grandchildren.
