Community Health Forum on 1/14 wants your feedback on Morongo Basin’s healthcare priorities

San Bernardino County is holding a community health forum this Wednesday, January 14th.

The event is hosted in association with the Morongo Basin Healthcare District and the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. The event is a follow-up to the 2022 health forum held in Joshua Tree. In that forum, the community identified “Chronic Disease,” “Behavioral Health,” and “Injury and Violence Prevention” as the main three healthcare priorities for the area.

This year’s forum offers Basin residents an opportunity to share their health experiences, voice their concerns, and help identify health priorities that matter most to them. Dinner will be served and there will be small roundtable discussions where locals can give their input on their local healthcare needs.

The County’s Vital Signs Initiative will then use the information to help shape community solutions and direct resources to the Morongo Basin that address the health and wellness needs of the hi-desert.

The Health Forum is taking place this  Wednesday, January 14, at 5:00 p.m at the Morongo basin healthcare District, located at 6540 La Contenta Road, Suite 600a.

The event is free, but you must register at here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-health-forum-tickets-1778634998159

A light dinner will be served to registered participants.
