CITY OF TWENTYNINE PALMS SEEKING PUBLIC INPUT ON DRAWING NEW DISTRICT MAPS

With the recent release of official census data from the State of California, the City of Twentynine Palms is moving forward with redistricting efforts. The Twentynine Palms City Council held its second of four hearings on the process Tuesday (September 28). The city is now looking for community feedback to help identify communities of interest, neighborhoods, historic areas, and geographical elements in developing the new district maps. The city council’s third redistricting public hearing is tentatively scheduled for February 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., which will include a presentation of draft maps for consideration. The city is also launching a dedicated redistricting website within the next week. For more information, email [email protected].
