CHP advise drivers of Amboy Road and SR247 closures

Heavy rain hit the hi-desert Thursday (September 19), and several roads heading out of the Morongo Basin remain closed this morning due to flooding. 

The California Highway Patrol has advised that Amboy Road is closed between National Trails Highway and Godwin Avenue.

State Route 247 (a.k.a. Old Woman Springs Road) is closed north of Lucerne Valley due to mud and rocks in the road resulting from the heavy rain.
