Basin Transit invite you to “Pack the Bus” with school supplies all day today at Yucca Valley WalMart (7/19)

Morongo Unified School District kicks off their new school year on August 11, with other districts and schools starting soon as well. To ensure that every returning student has an equal opportunity to succeed, Basin Transit and the Boys & Girls Club are holding a “Pack the Bus” school supply drive all day long at the Walmart Supercenter parking lot in Yucca Valley.

Organizers are asking for crayons, markers, pencils, pens, notebooks, binders, erasers, rulers, glue, backpacks and pencil boxes. Everything donated will be dropped off into a Basin Transit bus, and they hope to have the bus completely filled with school supplies by the end of today. 

Items will be distributed to all comers on July 28 at the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Desert.

So come on down and donate today at the Walmart parking lot. You’ll help make the coming school year a little easier for local youngsters.
