A Banning man was arrested in Yucca Valley Thursday, March 4, after he was found with drugs and a gun. Just before 11 a.m., deputies stopped a black Dodge Charger driven by Charles Hallmark, 47, for a vehicle violation. Deputies determined Hallmark was on probation and during a search of the vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine and a loaded Kimber .45-caliber handgun. As a convicted felon, Hallmark is not permitted to be in possession of firearms or ammunition. Charles Hallmark was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and for being in possession of methamphetamine and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He was released on a $50,000 bail bond.
