ARREST MADE AFTER SHORT PURSUIT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Victorville man was arrested Thursday, October 8, following a short pursuit in Twentynine Palms. A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle just before 1 p.m. for speeding 20 miles over the speed limit on Highway 62 near Mojave Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The driver, identified as Junar Collins, 19, failed to yield and drove recklessly for about a mile before stopping. Junar Collins was arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
