3.8 EARTHQUAKE RATTLES THE DESERT REGION

A preliminary 3.8-magnitude earthquake shook the entire desert region yesterday. The quake struck at 12:22 p.m. near Thousand Palms area Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor was felt widely including hundreds of reports from residents of the Morongo Basin communities. There were no reports of damage or injury.
